About Port de Balès

The Port de Balès (1755 m) is a narrow, quiet road through the Ourse valley. It has been part of the Tour de France only since 2007; the upper part is steep and open.

In rampida you ride the route exactly as it lies on the road: the gradient reaches your trainer metre by metre, the scenery is built from real elevation data and OpenStreetMap. A pacer group can pull you along, and next time you race your own ghost.
