FAQ
What are good W/kg?
As a rough guide for FTP (power you can hold for about an hour): under 2 W/kg beginner, 3–4 W/kg ambitious amateur, over 5 W/kg elite amateur, pros climb at 6 W/kg and more.
Why W/kg instead of watts?
Uphill, power per kilogram matters most because you lift your own weight. On the flat, absolute watts and aerodynamics matter more.
How long would a climb take me?
Every rampida climb page has a table of estimated times per W/kg and a calculator for your own numbers.
