About Grand Ballon

The Grand Ballon (1424 m) is the highest mountain in the Vosges. From Willer-sur-Thur the road climbs through forest to the Route des Crêtes, with the radar dome visible from far away.

In rampida you ride the route exactly as it lies on the road: the gradient reaches your trainer metre by metre, the scenery is built from real elevation data and OpenStreetMap. A pacer group can pull you along, and next time you race your own ghost.
