About Ballon d’Alsace

In 1905 the Ballon d’Alsace (1247 m) was the first mountain ever climbed by the Tour de France. From Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle the climb is steady and wooded.

In rampida you ride the route exactly as it lies on the road: the gradient reaches your trainer metre by metre, the scenery is built from real elevation data and OpenStreetMap. A pacer group can pull you along, and next time you race your own ghost.
