About Stelvio Pass
The Stelvio Pass (2757 m) is the highest mountain pass in Italy and the second-highest paved pass in the Alps. From Prato allo Stelvio, 48 numbered hairpins lead to the top, most of them in the upper third. At the Giro d’Italia it is regularly the Cima Coppi, the highest point of the race.
In rampida you ride the route exactly as it lies on the road: the gradient reaches your trainer metre by metre, the scenery is built from real elevation data and OpenStreetMap. A pacer group can pull you along, and next time you race your own ghost.
