About Passo Gavia
The Passo di Gavia (2621 m) is one of the highest passes in the Alps. From Ponte di Legno the road is narrow in places and steep in the middle. The 1988 Giro stage over the Gavia in a snowstorm is legendary.
In rampida you ride the route exactly as it lies on the road: the gradient reaches your trainer metre by metre, the scenery is built from real elevation data and OpenStreetMap. A pacer group can pull you along, and next time you race your own ghost.
