About Umbrail Pass

The Umbrail Pass (2501 m) is the highest pass in Switzerland and joins the road just below the Stelvio. From Santa Maria in the Val Müstair tight hairpins lead up; the Giro has used this side to reach the Stelvio.

In rampida you ride the route exactly as it lies on the road: the gradient reaches your trainer metre by metre, the scenery is built from real elevation data and OpenStreetMap. A pacer group can pull you along, and next time you race your own ghost.
