About Maloja Pass
The Maloja Pass (1815 m) leads from Chiavenna through the Bregaglia valley to the Engadine. The road climbs moderately for a long way, and the tight hairpins only come at the end below the village of Maloja.
In rampida you ride the route exactly as it lies on the road: the gradient reaches your trainer metre by metre, the scenery is built from real elevation data and OpenStreetMap. A pacer group can pull you along, and next time you race your own ghost.
